Volleyball places 2nd in Region Tournament, Qualifies for Northeast District Tournament.
On Saturday afternoon at host Nassau Community College, the Rockland Community College Volleyball team defeated the Dutchess Falcons in the Region XV Semifinals, 3-1, to advance to the Final and secure a spot in the Northeast District Tournament next Saturday. The Hawks were less fortunate in the Region XV Finals match-up against the Queensborough Tigers, losing 3-0. The sting of the loss in the finals was short lived as the Hawks season is still very much alive. Rockland will face off against Region 21's Community College of Rhode Island on Saturday at 12:00pm in the Northeast District Semifinal at host site, Queensborough Community College in Bayside, NY. Spectators WILL NOT BE PERMITTED at Queensborough Community College on Saturday, October 30th. Should the matches be live streamed, a link will be shared on RCC's Official Twitter page, @RCChawks. The two teams that advance to the District finals match will automatically qualify for the NJCAA DIII National Women's Volleyball Tournament in Rochester, MN.
