Tayejon Lynch's Triple-Double Guides Hawks to Postseason Berth with win over Ulster.
The Rockland Hawks men's basketball team has secured their place in the upcoming Region XV Divion II playoffs with an impressive 88-62 victory over SUNY Ulster in their latest game on Thursday, February 9th. The team's strong performance was led by a historic triple-double from Tayejon Lynch, impressive contributions from Diamonte McMillan, Jaziar Whitely, and Manny Barkor.
Tayejon Lynch recorded his first career triple-double with 19 points, 13 rebounds and 15 assists, while Diamonte McMillan added 22 points to the Hawks' total. Jaziar Whitely also made a significant contribution with a double-double, scoring 10 points and pulling in 12 rebounds. Manny Barkor rounded out the strong offensive performance with 16 points.
"This was a true team effort and we're proud of every player on our roster," said Coach Brian Sondey. "Tayejon's triple-double, along with strong performances from Diamonte, Jaziar, and Manny, made a major impact in this game. Next up, the Hawks will travel north to take on SUNY Sullivan on Tuesday, February 14th in their final conference game of the season. With their impressive victory over SUNY Ulster still fresh in their minds, the team is eager to end their conference schedule on a high note.
