RCC Baseball Enters Region Tournament as #1 Seed

The Rockland Community College baseball team has earned the #1 overall seed in the Region XV D2 playoffs with a 16-4 record in conference play this season. Rockland's first round opponent in this double elimination format tournament will be against the #4 seeded Westchester Vikings (11-9). Sullivan Community College (13-7) secured the #2 seed with a victory over the Vikings on Monday, which then moved the Ulster Senators (12-8) into the #3 position. Due to field conditions, the Hawks match-up against the Vikings will take place on the campus of Westchester Community College on Thursday, May 5th at 3:30pm. The remainder of the 4 team tournament will take place on Friday, May 6th and Saturday, May 7th at host Westchester Community College. The top 2 teams in the Region XV tournament will qualify for the Northeast District Tournament next weekend, and earn a chance to compete for a spot in the NJCAA D2 World Series.
